We had a lovely afternoon with the ladies of Yeolmbridge Chapel and Reverand Malcolm. They helped us to create our own Christingles using a large orange to represent the earth. Did you know that the red ribbon is for the love and blood of Christ? Next we added sweets to represent the four seasons. Finally, we added a candle to symbolise Jesus, the light of the world who brings hope to people.
After a reading from the Bible about the Christmas story we sang 'Away in a manger'. The ladies of the Chapel provided us with a delicious spread of party food. We really enjoyed sharing our thoughts about Christmas with other members of the community. Thank you to everyone involved, we wish you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.
